I came here for my club's meeting. We had a nice VIP room. The room wasn't big but decent size. I have to highlight a few dishes: BBQ Appetizer Platter, Crispy Chicken & Shrimp Paste with Sesame, and House Special Lobster. The BBQ Appetizer Platter's taste and the arrangement are much than than some of the older Chinese restaurant establishment. The Crispy Chicken & Shrimp Paste with Sesame is one of a kind, and this is a special dish and not many restaurants make this dish. It tastes good! Lastly, the House Special Lobster tastes really good too. Again, it surpasses some of the established Chinese restaurants. I highly recommend these three dishes. As far as price concern, let me just say they are not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
The food was ok. Not too great not too bad. Just ok place to dine in.
Oh nooooo.... Food was okay. Service was fast. Not coming back. The meat was hard and very dry.
Every time we come here we get the peking duck and it's always made to perfection. Perfectly crisp skin and juicy meat paired so well with the bao buns and condiments. It's not on their menu but I always ask for steamed Chinese broccoli and oyster sauce on the side as our vegetable item. Their service is also very friendly and although there's the language barrier I've never had any issues with my orders. Overall we always enjoy it when we come here.
Not gonna lie--the food was pretty good. Now that that's out of the way, onto my complaints: 1. Server said they had fresh (live, swimming) red grouper, but what they served was what I'm 95% sure was a red snapper (but at red grouper price, of course). 2. Gai Lan was all stem, very bitter and fibrous. They took it back and replaced it with some choy sum that was on the saltier side. 3. Their service was great until we paid for the meal, then it was all, "We need to turn this table around, so you need to leave." 4. I paid for our meal and the server came back and took the itemized receipt out of my hands while I was reviewing it. I cannot emphasize how ABSOLUTELY SHADY this is. Whatever they're trying to hide (probably ended up charging us for the disgusting gai lan that they took back and the replacement vegetable dish), I hope it's worth the damage to their reputation. TL;DR pretty tasty food, but eating here left a bad taste in my mouth.
