My wife and I were looking for a romantic date night while visiting Old Town Pasadena and someone recommended this place. First, I always like to say that the staff was very nice. It was a very busy Saturday night but the hostess found us a nice table in the patio area right away instead of having to wait over an hour. Our server was very nice and helpful too and even the owner came out to greet us and say hello. So staffing-wise, this place was lovely. I only give it 3 stars because the food was just pretty good. At a fancy Italian restaurant where all of the entrees are $20+ I typically expect to be in love with the food (which I have felt at other upscale places) but I didn't get that feeling with all the food we ate here. As I said, the food was fine, just not anything I'd crave to return for, especially for the price. The only thing we thought was pretty exceptional was the tiramisu, which was also pleasantly bigger than I was expecting it to be. All in all, it was a fine experience, just probably not something we would go back for more.
We are in our 37th year of marriage and my husband decided to drag me out and we ended up at Mi Place. Wonderful place the customer service is wonderful, Lilly was the best hostess. The food and desserts are delicious, we truly enjoyed every bite. The made rounds to every table, he is so down to earth I thought he was a manager until Lilly mentioned it.
Great and wonderfully made Italian fare! Their food is amazing, highly recommend their Calamari Fritté and Raviolis. The dining room and bar area are very neat and stylish looking. Would be giving them five stars if it wasn’t for the lack of care in their other common areas; restrooms were beaten up and not clean looking nor the service was to the standards of their great food, even tho it was an slow night (4 of July) they was a pile of employees just standing near the host stand, that could for example have gotten restrooms looking as good as the front. Our waiter even tho was very nice and warm, needed to level up on knowing his menus and upselling/suggesting options to enhance our visit. Overall a great restaurant that only seems to need to strong-up their management and direction, we’ll try them again soon!
I went with a group from work after a long annual planning session. Everyone had a good time and the food was great, the wine was fun and tasty. You can see that the food was beautifully prepared and plated. I assure you it tasted as good as it looked and I think it looks great! Normally I would have provided 5 stars but I could not because of the restroom. The restroom is outside the confines of the restaurant and near the rear entrance to the building. I found this strange but okay, I just rolled with it. I asked the front-of-the-house staff where the restrooms were and they told me and let me know that a code was required to gain entry into the restroom. Not crazy but a little strange. After a day of meetings and finally, I get to relax I have to memorize a 6-digit code. After a number of attempts to use the code I fail. At this point, I really have to go but I feel silly going back to the staff to ask for the code again. i do so and then another front-of-the-house staff jumps in and says the code has changed! Ughhhhh that explains it! Well, I finally get in and the restroom isn't dirty but it's not exactly clean either. On top of it the faucets are broken, and the plumbing seems to be either sweating or drip leaking. It's just not pleasant. It makes me think that when these types of details are overlooked what other details in the kitchen are overlooked? It's probably the responsibility of the landlord but ultimately it reflects the restaurant and my humble suggestion is that they apply pressure to do a better job maintaining the restroom because their customers use this restroom.
Wow amazing this is one of the best restaurants with the most delicious food in the world. Better escargot than you'd find in Paris; mouth watering bone marrow, delicious steak, pasta, and soup. Everything was great. The service was a little slow; not the fault of the servicer, she just had too many tables. Definitely will be coming back soon.
