They are really starting to get their pre-pandemic groove back! Lots more menu options (including, for spring, their stellar white asparagus soup with basil oil), lots more seating, and more creativity on display again, such as lemon foam topping veggies and duck cooked two ways. The service was the low point, with the waiter acting like he was trying to rush us out the door the whole time. (But as my companions pointed out, that's usually better than when the staff forces fake friendliness on you.) Keep up the good work, Arbour, we're rooting for you! Update 11/3/21: This place is a go-to, and I've written about it many times, so all I want to add this time is that when we requested a wine that was no longer on their list, but that we had enjoyed many times before, they looked for it, found it and brought it out for us at the same, reasonable price it's always been. Great service, oh, and a shout out to their always fantastic seasonal soups, which I never skip--this time, wild mushroom--yum!
This place was decent until the waiter did not even ask to split the check. Made us to all the work and writw it down to help him figure out what we ordered. Food was okay but definitely would take my business somewhere else and would not recommend this place.
Decent enough fare and atmosphere, but it's a little bit like it's stuck in the 90s or early 2000s (like a lot of Pasadena). Mostly older white folks eating here. If that's your taste then go! Good service though.
One of the best meals we have had in a long time. I highly recommend this great restaurant in Pasadena. Thanks for dinner Don and Cynthia Evenson.
One of the best meals in Pasadena. Indoor and outdoor seating. Fireplaces inside add some romance. Good is great.
